Shoe - cheesecakecaramel OP 2 mo. ago Yes! I took this picture at the airport, it's a litter box that you can fold so it doesn't take so much space in your bag. I also took with me 1kg of litter in a ziplock, it was enough for our flight. Reply Share 5.4k

Font - RegretNecessary21 2 mo. ago My cat used to move everywhere with me. Granted, it was domestically but cross country. I think it would be meaner to rehome them when you're their whole world! Also, that's why vets can give sedatives for long trips! My litter box for road trips was a small plastic bin. She knew how to use that thing down to a science. Rest in peace to my old lady. Enjoy your adventures with pistachio!

Font - wireknot +12 mo. ago This makes me SO happy! I'd read the original post and thought gosh I hope she takes the kitty, itll be fine! Just like a really long car ride across the country. So much joy that you've settled into your new home and all is well. I might have missed it, what country did you end up in?

Font - I_Heart Squids. 2 mo. ago I volunteer at a cat shelter, and I don't think most people get how traumatic rehoming is for cats. They get attached to their owners the same way dogs do, they just show it differently (almost like they're a different species...). I see so many cats who are there because a well meaning owner thought a no-kill shelter would be easier on the cat than a move, and I don't think that's ever the case. Yes, the move will he difficult, and the new place will require adj

Font - DJDarwin932 mo. ago I'm glad we were able to help! Moving with a cat definitely isn't easy, so I can't really blame your family for being worried about it, but Pistachio is great proof that you absolutely can do it, you just have to do it right. Enjoy your new life you two!

Font - Nikonis99 2 mo. ago I have to move both of my cats next year. It's a 15 hour road trip so I will not be able to do it in one day. I plan on keeping them in a large cage in the back seat area of my truck. Plan on making it split level so they can have bedding above with food, water, and litter below. Might get a couple of leashes to let them out at a rest stop. Not looking forward to this but I don't have any other options. How did you move your cat?

Font - cheesecakecaramel OP 2 mo. ago I didn't really have a choice, it was a 15 hours flight from France to Canada. She didn't eat the day before, only water. I gave her gabapentine 2 hours before, by my vet's advice of course. I sprayed Feliway on her carrier, put her favorite toy, and wrapped it with my scarf so it's dark and she'd feel safe. I tried to get her to get used to her carrier a few months before. As I mentioned in another comment I brought a portable litter box, showed it to her i

Font - +2 2 mo. ago this post. I'm happy the Tundraspin I remember cat is happy and it worked out. Meanwhile here I am on couch in living room, on a hotter 80 degree day and all four cats of mine are hiding in the garage so it feels like I have zero cats for the next few hours until dinnertime rolls around.

Building - Significant_Video_92 2 mo. ago I brought my cat from Australia to the USA in 2002. I don't think it was pleasant for him, but he soon forgot, and lived out a happy life in America, (he ate a few squirrels).
